Zeenat Taher

Zeenat Taher, M.Phil in English with specialization in American Literature, is working an Assistant Professor in “KIIT School of Law”, ‘KIIT Deemed to be University’, has sixteen years of teaching experience in English language and literature to students of different academic backgrounds such as law, engineering, business management and even foreign students (Turkish and Afghans). She is also teaching part-time as an ‘Access Teacher’ in the “English Access Micro Scholarship Program” sponsored by the U.S. State Department, at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Bhubaneswar where she teaches tribal students . 

She has been selected as the sole representative from India alongside participants from 18 different countries to participate in the “Study of United States Institute for Scholars” – a prestigious Academic Exchange program in “Institute on Contemporary American Literature” hosted by ‘Seattle University’ in Washington State from June to August , 2018 sponsored by the U.S. Government . 

She has received scholarships and has been able to do various E-Teachers’ training courses on scholarships from ‘University of Oregon’, ‘OPEN’ courses from U.S.State Department, ‘University of Maryland’, ‘The George Washington University’ and many others. She is passionate about upgrading her teaching skills and has participated in various national and international conferences, workshops and seminars. She has also conducted teachers’ training workshops training teachers from different schools and colleges, sharing her knowledge of English language teaching. She is also interested in in cultural and ethnic studies, and time-travel narratives. Her professional journey has not only groomed her personality but also shaped her teaching skills as a ‘Global English Language Teacher’.
